A question for "CAJUNLAWYER".

I admit this is an imposition, and the facts are sketchy, but hope you'll help.

I have a question pertaining to the law, and we no longer employ a lawyer.

I've contemplated, divulging the name of a company that sells devices, and services to the public.

I believe they've skinned me, severely and repeatedly, in the past.

I have only myself to blame for letting it happen.

Revenge isn't my intent. To save our form members the same fate is my only intent.

Would it be prudent to divulge that company's name?

We've collectively outed cable companies, Duracell, and broccoli here... and I'm likely leaving out others that I don't recall. Might not be the best thing to ID the offending company outright, but a evenhanded factual report would probably do.

And yes, broccoli is evil.

Recently checked a not that old Flashlight in my RAV4.
Dead. Checked the batteries.
Duracells - leaking.
Luckily not that bad, cleaned out the mess and installed Tilt - Tilt - Energizers.
All is well in Flashlight Land!

We all have our own comfort levels but, for me, if I'm not sure ….. the answer is NO! Not prudent.

Truth is truth wether it compliments or condemns.
While broccoli is evil, it is by full immersion baptism in blessed ranch that it's sins may be absolved

Cable companies, internet providers, cell phone companies get bashed online every day. If it is one of these I see no problem.
If this is some type of medical device/service that might be a gray area.
No, I'm not a lawyer.

Help

Thanks to my true friends, that offered their help.

My request was directed to Cajun Lawyer.

Sadly, he chose to ignore my plea.

'Nnuff said on the matter.

I'd like to withdraw my request, and close the post.

There have been enough cases of companies filing defamation lawsuits over poor product/service reviews that one should consider doing so carefully. Truth is a solid defense, but defense can be costly. That one believes one has been "skinned" by a company does not make it true nor provable before a jury.
