New to the forum from Illinois. Currently have S&W Model 610, M&P 9C, and Shield (9mm), and am waiting on my CC permit, Ill. finally was required to begin issuing them. Been looking around the forum to seek info on carry and holster types.

Welcome from Wisconsin, Shipmate! Let us know how many hoops you had to go through & how fast you receive your permit. Now if Il only had reciprocity with WI but as I understand it I can carry in a car with my WI CCL. Maybe I won't have to bypass your state when I head south as long as I don't forget & leave it in the holster on my belt when making a pit stop.

Welcome from the Smoky Mountains of NC. Congratulations on getting your CCW there. The Shield is small enough that it works fine in an OWB holster. I forget I have mine on. worm5932 I am outside Jacksonville, Il, which is approx 30 miles west of Springfield, You know where the empty Gov mansion is.

MSG Glenn Yeah Ill is not going to reciprocate with anyone I guess. It will be interesting to see how long the permit takes, I only had to take the 8 hrs of training because I have a DD214.


Jaysq Thanks I will check that out, probably will use the Shield for carry, I do have several other pistols (not S&W)
