Hi Point Firearm

I think of them as a 'major caliber' Saturday Nite Special. They get lots of free TV advertising , on the 6 O'clock news. One of the most used in crimes guns. Big sellers in the big cities. Gangsta's and thugs ain't exactly picky about guns. The cheaper the better , especially if they gonna throw them in the river after a drive by. They do sink well.

I've never shot one or even had one in my hands, for $150 or so I may head up to old english in tip city and check one out

I believe that there should be a gun for every person's price range...I'd take a Hi-Point over a several others that (Jennings, Locen (sp?) etc) are available.

That being said, I do not own one and do not feel the need to...but I will never knock a man's choice to protect himself and his loved ones.

They are heavy, awkward, and incredibly ugly. But I've read, and been told by owners that they are very reliable. (more so then some more costly guns)

After reading all the posts here I'm tempted to buy one. (they're cheap enough) But after being brainwashed by the Army for so many yrs, I'm not sure I could stand to shoot something you can't strip & clean after fireing. I 'spose cleaning the bore then blowing out the action with pressureized solvent and oiling a bit would do. But it just seems so wrong somehow.

they are what they are

I have found that a lot of first time shooters do realy well with mine as for the c9 ,it is heavy enuff to help with getting used to the recoil and has helped me to get new shooter into the game for some reason they seem to not be as afraid of it as some of the other autos, and yes most move up to the other but some go out and buy one of thier own

Ugly-looks terrible -cheaply made to appeal to the unwashed. A peasant's gun.
Sounds like an AK-47.

Kinda reminds me if the old boy who showed up at the Sporting clays shoot with a battered Mossburg pump with an 18" barrel and then proceeded to shoot a 47/50 with it and take top prize.

All you guys bad mouthing the Hi Point better never show up at an english shoot with an over under rather than a side by side. And choke tubes???? Nonsense-that's why you buy the Purdys in pairs and bring your gun bearer old man.

It sounds like we have the hi points and the lo points, have we covered everything?:D
