Sigma's "bad rep"

I purchased a 9VE on a whim, and I gotta tell ya I like the little fella. Waaaayyyyyy more than the garbage M&P 45 I'm issued.....shhhhh....I'm getting crucified for not drinking the Kool Aid on the M&P side LOL.....

The Sigma has a great grip and points perfectly. Maybe they should have just used the Sigma as a starting point instead of.......anyway, love my little Sigma!
No worries, the M&P isn't for everyone, I own it in 9mm, no issues as of yet, there again, I don't carry on duty, day in and day out as you do yours, in .45, mine will never see the environment that your weapon does.:)
I also own the 9ve and 40ve, haven't used them for a carry option yet, the jury is still out, before I trust my life to them.
I plan to continue to test their performance in different styles of personal defense shooting, more training.Asymmetrical, CAR, vehicle, and the like. I think the Sigma likes a strong grip, My wife attempted to shoot from a close hip holster draw and the 9ve attempted to double feed, hence jam. No problem, I expected that. All in all, their keepers.

colt. Why do you feel you can't trust your life with a Smith? I personally wouldn't buy a gun I can't trust my life with. I can see it not being you choice of carry, but to say you don't trust it.

I think that early in the game with the SIGMAS, I just want to do more training with them. It's more about my response with them, than it is about the Weapon itself, at this point in time. I've personal defense carried a few S&W..Revolvers and Semi's. The Sigmas are just new to me, I'm not being negative about them,I just want to be able to function with them under stress. :)

I certainly am impressed with my Sigma 9. I've read reviews and watched youtube demos and it's very favorable so I ordered one at my local range. I bought two boxes of Fed Champs in anticipation of my gun. I also had a handful of Win PDX1 124 +Ps and Fed Hydra-Shok 124s. I had a good day at the range. First time I held the gun the grip was great and shooting it was sweet.

In a few days I get to shoot again and it will be without the pigtail spring (I lost it duh) but the trigger wasn't bad in the first place. Anyway I got a new spring coming from S&W.

I was considering a Hi Point C9 but after watching youtube I couldn't stop laughing. About everyone had FTEs.

Coke is better than Pepsi(Yes)
Chevy is better than Ford(Double Yes)
Blue is the best looking color(nope, sorry, Chevy Orange,LOL)

I've had a couple in 9mm and the only "problem" I had with em' was the lack of resale value. I was into em' for $329 each and ended up taking $159 each because there was a Sig P225 that I just had to have and I needed the cash. Other then that they seem to work as well as any other poly frame gun on the market.

I gotcha Colt. A quite respectable answer. I was under the impression it was the weapon thanks for the correction.
