Original Post-

I'm hoping this is just some horrible mistake, but I just clicked on a link I got in email to a new gun video review by Hickok45 (my favorite reviewer), and got a message that “this account has been terminated due to repeated violations of google policies” ....photo attached. For action as you deem appropriate.

UPDATE: Here is a link to a discussion on youtube asking why he was cancelled in case you want to add your voice. It was posted in a later thread but i wanted to put it here so its not missed:

UPDATE: Apparently he sorted out his issue with youtube and is back.

I get the "account is terminated" screen.

His hickockandson channel is still up though....

I hope he didn't up and quit.
I have been a follower of his videos for almost 5 years.

I really liked him and followed many of his videos. Only thing I found was there wasn't a gun he didn't like, or maybe I just didn't find one he didn't. He did do very good reviews on all the guns and I will miss him. Hopefully he can work it out and come back.

He's about the only thing I watch, on YouTube other than keeping up with the latest on Street Outlaws Gang. He's from here in Middle Tennessee, He's a good guy, met him and his son several times at local gun shows and gun shops. And I also like his reviewes.

I have seen him NOT like a firearm. One recently was a NAA mini revolver, he said it scared him? And one episode, he said he didn't like ported guns? He's just fun to watch.

Like stated? I guess no longer Politically Correct?

I agree with Jim1392. On every gun video of his that I ever watched, he had nothing but positive things to report ( probably why he always had borrowed or donated guns to shoot). So for more critical reviews of guns, I usually go to "The Truth About Guns". Each to his own :)

I'm fairly critical of firearms myself but rarely go near one I wouldn't want to own. As a consequence, I seldomly have a negative response to guns I evaluate for personal use.

That's terrible news, I always enjoyed his reviews.
I Agree with you . he is doing gun reviews for Budsguns now so wonder if that had something to do with it , With all the BS going on today in the gun world nothing shocks me anymore.

I just had to see for myself if its true and sadly, it is. What in the world happened to make them ban him?

Agreed. Didn't watch his videos cause there was never a bad gun and the reviews weren't really the type I was looking for. Still every now and then his was the only review available. But that's besides the point.

Has anyone checked other firearms related reviewers?

I just checked the AK47/74 Union and The Military Arms Channel. Both are similar type to Hickok and they are both still on. Maybe it was something specific to him?

As for objectiveness, He is one of the few people I've ever seen do a side by side comparison of a Glock, M&P and XP without gushing that one was clearly superior than the other. Yes, he mostly had good things to say about the guns he reviewed but I think that is in his nature to be positive and polite. (i.e. "A friend loaned me this gun to try with this free federal ammo and they both suck" was not his style.) He would point out what features he thought were not to his liking and quickly move on.

I have allot of respect for someone that can be that objective in todays gun market.
