High dollar N frame

Today a NIB 629 (1980) went for $1,650.00 on Gunbroker.
I chased it a bit but had to bow out. You sure don't see a 32 year old revolver NIB with tools much anymore. Nice to know they're still around though. Alot of money still out there chasing N frames.
I will still watch for a shooter grade 629-0. Perhaps one day!

I am not familiar with that particular gun but I can tell you that stuff is for hard core collectors. Once you drop a round in the chamber and pull the trigger you reduce the value of the gun by about 25%.

Sounds like the M.O. of a shill bidder. Dont be surprised if it pops up for sale again soon because the buyer dont exist.

Good analysis. I bid what I was willing to pay for the gun, I would have shoht it, then watched to soar past me. It will be interesting to see if the gun is back for sale in 2 weeks.
