It WAS on my wish list too. If you have a nice property & value it, hogs are the last thing you want on it. For eradication/bragging rights, big hogs are fine. For eating, give me a young 100-ish pounder.
I had no intention of hunting, but always carry a .357 in the woods. Was clearing an old piece of family property out in deep woods, and heard a big ruckus. Here comes a razorback hog at me. Dropped it with a few shots, but it got within a couple of feet before it died.
Not being a hunting season, someone who heard the shots called the sheriff, and I had to do a bit of explaining.
