Hogue Tamer Grips fit on older J Frames?

Howdy folks...

I'm shopping around for grips for my classy old model 36. From what I can tell the Hogue Tamer grip seems a good balance of light weight concealability (2oz?) and a covered backstrap. Do they fit all round butt J Frames? Is it just for Bodyguard / Centennials? Can anyone suggest a better grip? The compacs are interesting but I hear they are heavier at around 4oz. I know it's a sin to put rubber grips on my model 36, but they're easy to switch out for BBQs.

They are made to fit the Centennials. They will fit other models, but sit a little above the backstrap. if you look at the last post in this thread there is a picture. if you can live with that they are really comfortable grips.

You might want to call Hogue up and ask them. They probably will make it for your 36.
