Holster

I have a S & W marked B21 89 holster that came with a Ruger standard 22 auto with the shorter tapered barrel. The holster fits closely but the barrel protrudes from the open bottom about 1/4 inch. The holster chart I found on the forum says B21 89 it fits a 5 inch gov model. It does not as the barrel channel is much smaller. Any idea what this holster is actually made to fit?

The holster for a Ruger standard .22 auto, with a 4 3/4 in. barrel is the B21 82. As you say, the B21 89 is for a Colt Gov't Model. If your holster is really stamped B21 89, then it's mismarked holster. Ed.
