Wife and I were looking at our shopping list and decided we needed to start preparing for super inflation in our grocery shopping habits. She wasn't impressed with one of my suggestions.

You can still get a Costco rotisserie chicken for $4.99. They taste great and yield at least 4 servings. Yum!

Roadkill is always a good alternative.
The Gas price dictates that you know exactly when and where to go.
My old Buddy Carl, Carlos, Sweetwater Morris from Sweetwater, TX is proficient is jumping out of his car, running into a pasture, grabbing a goat, dispatching said animal, holding by the back legs for the bleed out as he runs back to his car.
I reminded him that singer Johnny Rodriguez was arrested for doing that.

A bag or box of 8 pcs of fried chicken in these parts is now going for $8.99........
and they are the smaller size fryers.......

not the 4-5 pound ones in the meat section.

I've noticed the price of pork has gone up almost 50%. My Sunday morning trip to Walmart has increased almost 40% for the same items I buy regularly. Beef has almost doubled. Lots of crock pot stuff coming.

We have definitely cut back on meal portion sizes, and are losing some weight. That is actually a good thing.

One thing we're thankful for is in our neck of the woods Quail, Cotton Tails and Dove are easy to get if needed. You just have to compete with the coyotes, bobcats, roadrunners, rattle snakes and gila monsters.

Not to make you cry but I got 4 whole boneless pork loins last week for a $1.49 a pound. Luckily I prefer pork over beef.
Even tho I'm in a small town I'm fortunate to have 3 grocery stores plus Walmart within 6 miles. Always some good specials.
This week's buy is split chicken breasts for 99 cent a pound.

If this is the simple delight that is sriracha and rice then the pullet book report is unnecessary.

Serving it with beer would make it a complete balanced breakfast.

Season with the cheapest smoked sausage you can find . Deer sausage works well too .
