What if you live or work in a "sissor free" area!

Not around my house. My wife sews, quilts, etc. and has more scissors than I have guns. She even has a pair of scissors with a screwdriver on the end of one handle and a bottle opener on the other handle. She was making fun of the HS video and I told her she should practice throwing her scissors like a knife.

The book's name escapes me, but it was about the Navy SEALS, and my attention was drawn to this stellar group's agreement that it wasn't BUDS, Sniper School, HALO jumps or cold water training they felt to be the toughest challenge, no it was scissor survival school…. Again though, what the SEALS and Hollywood fantasy does with the usage of scissors is well beyond what an amateur can manage, hence my support for semi-auto scissors ONLY in our society. Un-licensed full auto-scissoring would be simply wrong in our society IMO.

Just wait, before long, they'll be talk of needing to stop the horrific "scissor violence." "SAVE OUR CHILDREN!, STOP THE MADNESS!, LET'S GET SCISSORS OFF OUR STREETS!" "People don't need Assault Scissors, there is nothing in the Second Ammendment saying that people have a right to own military-style, Assault Scissors!"

Aside from the government control issues/reasons behind gun control, there are other factors at play. The nerds, wimps, and uninitiated will never rest until we are all just like them... Have you listened to NPR lately, there is not a male commentator on that network that has any functioning testosterone. Scissors would still be too much for that crowd to bear. They won't stand for anything that represents self reliance, self determination, or anything related to primal courage / self preservation via exertion of force. They want to deny human nature, and what is necessary to address it. The fact that these types dominate the media plays great for the political forces, and their agenda.

After scissors, we'll be reduced to snapping wet towels at our adversaries. That'll leave a mark!

Is there a blade length on the ones for personal use? I mean can I carry a 6 inch scissors or would I be kept down at 4 inches or less?

Do they have to be concealed or are we to have open carry?

Who does the background check on these terrible weapons of war?

There are so many legal matters involved in getting and carrying these things where do we start? The sheriff's office or do we go straight to the BATF idiots?

I can just imagine the taxes that will now be levied on scissors. Oh, and by the way are "pinking shears" to be included in all this?

I really hope no one is hurt watching that ridiculous video and following it. I hope who ever authorized it understands that if someone is hurt because of it on there hands.

Its really easy to make fun of the video but really its scary. What happens when some parent shows it to there kids and say this is what you do? The kids wouldn't know any better. Seriously what kid would think there parents advice would put them in harms way.

Putting out a video like this is seriously irresponsible on our Government's part. I really really think they should have to do what they preach. Maybe they stop releasing ridiculous bill's and video's.

I bet if someone suggested there secret service/body guards gave up there hi-cap mags, full auto pistols/machine guns. Any other military style armaments they have they be up in arms. Keep in mind 99.9% of American's who would use a gun in SD has a single civilian style semi automatic firearm. They don't have the elected officials multiple body guards armed to the teeth.

Kinda makes you wonder how many rounds of ammo, mags, and guns they have to protect the people who wanna disarm us. I will bet all the money in the world its more then 10 rounds split between them all.

Why not just issue every Govt. Office a model 640-1 next to the Govt. issue stapler. I would think 5 rounds of 357B would beat scissors any day.

After a few workplace scissor stabbings, our paper cutting implements will look like this. Any employee needing these cuttingl instruments will be required to check them out from an armored locker after signing the required form.

You wait. The first time someone tries this and manages to put a scratch on the shooter, the shooter will sue, the company, the person using the scissors, and the company who made the scissors. They will win.

There will then be a movement to ban scissors.
