Homeowners Associations

My association president lives next door. The rules are simple. The intent is to keep the neighborhood looking good.

He barely even flinched when his daughter dumped a cut down tree in my yard, and I dumped it back on his. :D

He apologized then told me to please stop, though I was already about 75% done. :o
 
In that situation do you really own it?



What's your definition of owning?

Do not pay your school or county taxes for a couple years and see what happens to something YOU THOUGHT you owned.

Do a small job without the approval of your city/town/villages building department and then you had better hang on because it's going to be a wild, expensive ride.

HOAs just add another step in the who owns what controversy!:mad:
 
HOAs are worse in that they are mandated Corporate run quasi-governments. Perhaps the model for the ACA.....
