I hate being such a nice guy! I was in the LGS the other night, and noticed a sight setting covered in dust and ask to take a look. Now my Sport doesn't really need another red dot, but this looked interesting, so what the heck. I was handed the sight and found it was an Aimpoint Comp M2. The person behind the counter just looked at me and said "20 bucks", obviously I about peed myself. That's when the "do the right thing" side of me kicked in and I ask, being some what amazed, 20 bucks, you're sure 20 bucks (of course I was already reaching for the wallet). After she saw me hesitate, she took a second look and said I probably should talk to the owner. They had a NCStar clone in earlier, and she thought that's what it was. He didn't even know where it came from, but wanted to check it out and make sure it hadn't been set aside by someone else and forgotten. When I went in yesterday, he smiled and said I should have taken her offer.

Well, needed or not, I'm getting the Aimpoint and putting it on the Sport. It was a little more than I planned on spending, but for an Aimpoint Comp M2, mount, kill flash, and two batteries, $318 out the door I'm not going to cry too much.

I guess this means my Sport will be a little cooler, I'll still be happy, and down the road, someone will get a good deal on my PA 30mm red dot. Now I'll have to update the pics again. ;)

Good Luck and good shooting. :D

Gunny, I don't know if this makes me a bad person, but I would have paid the $20 in cash and ran home giggling like a school girl! :D

No, not at all. I'm not sure if it was total amazement or shear panic. I've dealt with this shop and the folks there for years, they are very knowledgeable, so this one really caught me off guard.

Damn it, they changed tactics on me!

We often talk about doing business with the LGS's to keep them in business because of the services they provide. Taking advantage of someone's stupidity does not help achieve that goal.

You did the right thing.
