I just tested Hornady customer service. I just bought a new Lock and Load reloader and broke a piece during assembly [overtightened]. Called Hornady customer service and they offered to send me one free. I explained I broke the piece and it was not a factory defect, but the sent me one free anyway. Got the part and installed it today [carefully]. Loader works great, Thanks Hornady.:)

I started a thread on the exact same subject just a few months ago. They have EXCELLENT customer service. 26

How could you stay in the reloading equipment business without emulating the "Gold Standard" established by Dillon Precision? We wouldn't have had to bail out Big Auto if they'd shown half the level of customer concern and integrity shown by many small companies who live or die by customer loyalty and esteem, instead of producing shoddy products with worthless warranties, and contempt for customers.

Glad to hear they took care of the problem quickly for you.

Amazingly it only took 3 post to get a Dillon comment...

One of the things the two companies have in common is they are privately owned, and the name of the company is the same as that of the majority owner.

When my best friend and I got asked to leave the S&W booth at the NRA convention show (a few weeks after I had agreed to buy almost $700,000 worth of guns from S&W), Steve Hornady offered to let us stay at his booth all weekend.

I have a Hornady LNL-AP, their customer service has been outstanding.

I bent the primer feed guide rod (my fault), they sent me a new one free of charge.

I later got the EZ eject upgrade and stripped a bold head trying to swap subplates. I sent the press and 2 shell plates that needed upgrading for the EZ-eject. They fixed the stripped bolt, installed the new sub plate, and replaced my shell plates with new ones. Again, free of charge.

I don't how it is possible to improve on that.

If I'm prying, mr. Ross, please disregard but ?

S&W is publicly owned, and their PR person didn't want Tammy standing at their booth in a T-shirt that said

"Like big guns? Ask me about the
John Ross/PC
5 inch .500 Magnum"

Unless their lawyers or the board of directors or somesuch had approved it.

Thank you for the reply.
So the board frowns on free advertisement, eh?

Dang, you beat me to it!:D

I'd be willing to bet that RCBS is as good or better than the "Great Blue One" in customer service.
