Hot flash from 10 o'clock news: Texas Gov is a Ruger man!

i was wondering, if maybe he had a tarus. "JUDGE", the .410 shot pistol, would make a lot more sense shooting snakes, than a .380..i couldnt shoot a snake or a coyote running with a .380. maybe the press made a mistake??

Was the coyote legal or illegal? 2 legs or 4? Either way. totally justified. But he really should get a larger caliber. -Ed.

I complain that Perry is not conservative enough and does not push things far enough, but at the end of the day.

One shot, one coyote gone.

Can't complain much, so I will vote for him again.

Just wish it was an S&W Model 27 revolver instead!

Is he the guy who has come out against the AZ immigration law and said it would not be the right direction for Texas?

Unfortunately yes.

I am going to call and write him and tell him he is wrong and that to me that stance is a deal breaker on voting for him. We will see if it matters in the long run.

You mean you would prefer that the Gov of Arizona decides what is appropriate legislation for Texas? Funny, I like for my Governor to make his decisions based on what is good for Georgia rather than waiting around to see what the Gov of Alabama or SC thinks.

A Tale of Two States:

A Governor of a state is jogging with his
dog along a trail. A coyote jumps out and starts to attack dog.

In California:
#1. Governor starts to intervene and then realizes he should stop; the coyote is doing what is natural.
#2. Call animal control. Animal control captures coyote and spends $200 testing it for diseases and $500 relocating it.
#3. Call Vet. Veterinarian collects dead dog and spends $200 testing it for diseases.
#4. Governor goes to hospital and spends $3500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and getting bite wound bandaged.
#5. Running trail gets shut down for 6 months while wildlife services conduct a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is clear of dangerous animals.
#6. Governor spends $50,000 and starts a coyote awareness program for people who live in the area.
#7. State legislature spends $2 million investigating how to better handle rabies and how to possibly eradicate it.
#8. Governor's security agent fired for not stopping the attack and letting the Governor try to intervene.
#9. Cost $75,000 to train new security agent.
#10. PETA protest the relocation of the coyote.

In Texas:
#1. Governor spends $1.23 on a .380 ACP Gold Dot Hollow Point and he and the dog keep jogging.
And we wonder why California is Broke?

From what I've been reading it seems that Governor Rick Perry is one of the few - who are in Texas legally - who think it's a bad idea. He said that it would make TX LEO immigration cops instead of TX Cops. If *The Press* is to be believed -- It would seem that Perry doesn't see being in TX illegally to be an actual crime and the cops should be focusing on actual crimes...

I was taught that if you are doing something illegal then you are committing a crime. I guess my parents were a bit too conservative.
If some illegal stuff is NOT a crime - *They* should publish a list of the illegal acts/things that are actually OK.

Hopefully his next job{used car salesman],hasn't done a whole lot except back pattin' some good ol boys and pandering to the excitable crowds. He was teabagging way ahead of others then found out what it meant.

I don't really care about what AZ does in principal, I am more interested how it impact TX. If the illegals exit AZ, we are a good stop and the last thing this state needs is more illegals.

We need a law very similar to OK where ANY interaction with a government agency requires proof of residency otherwise your sent to the INS.

And yes, the Gov's office was polite. Took my call and listened and thanked me for my opinion. A letter did follow.
