How about this MP15?

Wow...that is WAY too expensive. It is an OR with the cheapest EOTech available...not worth the price, IMO.

I got my M&P 15 for $750 after rebate, plus a $450 scope, if my calculations are correct + $1200....

Like it's been said, way overpriced

Not a great deal

You figure that sight is roughly $400, which would then put you paying $1100 for the M&P15OR, which is above MSRP (granted not by much). It's not a bad deal, it's just not a "you must jump on that" deal.

It's a great price compared to February's prices, but February's prices are history. If there's not much available in your area and you don't mind paying MSRP for the EOtech and rifle, it wouldn't be a bad pick up. If things keep going the way they are, you'll probably be able to get it cheaper by looking around a bit. On the other hand if another wack job shoots up a school tomorrow then the $1500 cost of it today might be the best price you ever see for that set up. But is that really a way to live life?

YOu guys are so lucky, we cannot touch a M&P15OR for less than $1000. We'd be lucky to get a Sport rifle for $750.

Ah wonderful California

Have to agree that the price is too high. I've found that the Gander Mountain's around here(MN) have always been on the high side. I once went in and asked the price of what I was looking(pistols & AR's) at. I almost had a heart attack when he told me the prices. I asked it they were the correct price, and why so high. The "sales person" just replied that because of the "situation" though out the country, that everyone had high prices and that since they were so big that they got larger quantities and his prices were actually lower than his competitors. I couldn't handle the arrogance and just left. I may only return to check out some things(looking is cheap) but I won't be spend $$$ in there.
Look around. You'll find better prices.

My experience with Gander has also been they are in the high side of extra pricy....on just about everything.....they were the go to store for years in Wichita...the city just got a Cabela's about a year ago maybe a little over and Cabela's is cheaper. It all depends on what you want and what you are willing to spend, It wasnt that long ago that you couldnt touch one for that.

Thats a combo of LE discount and Military rebate, though.

OP, if you are not from CA and want an base OR at a good price, here you go.

Smith & Wesson M&P15OR (Optics Ready Carbine) 556 : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

$799 plus an EoTech at around $400, that puts you at $1200, not $1500.

WOW!!!

That's a great price!!

I also got an OR with discount and rebate for $750, but seeing those OR's for $799 and only $20 shipping makes me want a couple more!!!! :p

ETA: I went back and checked my invoice and the OR sold in Feb 2013 for $754 plus had $100 rebate so my cost was $654... :)

I know! My Sport is very close to having a big brother setting beside it in the gun safe!

It is a good deal. I almost got one of them also, but I opted for a Sport at $ 670 with the $20 shipping, got it from the same guy.

That's weird!

The LE price on the OR was $754 when I bought mine, and the Sport was $555. So the Sport should be about $200 cheaper.

I guess he figures the Sport at that price is salable, and obviously he is right!!
