How accurate is the M&P40

Yup, Cabelas was having a clearance sale! Just had to wait two hours to get through the papaerwork and phone call!

Damn, I paid $455 for mine with factory night sights. Why is everyone paying so much for these? My mp is very accurate and got better with the Apex Dceak, ram and ejector. Very happy with my purchases

As in most things, a higher level of accuracy is typically not the instrument, but the user's competency. I had a decent ability to get the bullet on target, but after a recent class to get my CCW, my results have greatly improved.

So, it reminds me of golf. My B-I-L is a decent 9 handicap, but is always buying new clubs to improve his game - to no effect. Luckily, I get his slight used equipment CHEAP. I spend my savings on lessons and practice time.

I'll use this same philosophy with my weapon and I bet I get pretty good:)

Hopefully, Scott ("FLORK") will be by with an explanation, but knowing the Apex gang, it's probably more reliable. You also get to watch Randy's "how to remove an extractor" video, and learn how to break a punch.

(Maybe they have Lisa drop it off if you're close by, too.)

Probably a description on their web site.

Found a note elsewhere the other night to the effect that you should replace the (otherwise hard to remove) pin with a roll pin of the proper size, if possible. Much easier to work with, and it should work just as well.

Michigan. ...

You don't get internet in Michigan? Can't you buy guns online and have them shipped to your local FFL?

I make a couple clicks and 3 days later I have an M&P for $398 or $455 with night sights. I would think you could do the same.

Ug, I don't know why this bothers me.... I shop for price on almost everything, maybe if I didn't I'd be happier...

OK thanks.

I had no trouble getting it out. The bottom corner had been cutting into the casings, it was leaving little brass chips in the gun. It was also binding up the gun, it would often stop half way through feeding a round. I took it out, and filed the edge off of the bottom corner, just enough to round off the edge. It works now.
