Over the last 35 years I`ve accumulated quite a collection of 1911s. Everything from mild to wild.

No label on this photo. It's a Rock Island 38 Super with scrimshawed ivory stocks.

I have a weakness for ivory. The Dolt stocks are fake but there is a genuine diamond inset in the right side beneath the scrimshawed wyvern.

I think this is all of them

the MCOperator is the same as the first pic, with original colors. I cant leave well enough alone. Kick myself for selling the CCO. I needed money for another purchase. should have robbed my savings for that purchase.

A 1917 vintage commercial Colt 1911. It was Grampa's, then Dad's, now mine. Grampa and Dad shot competitive Bullseye with it and there is no telling how many thousands of rounds have been down the pipe. I remember the very first time I was allowed to shoot it. Grampa drove us down a dirt road on the outskirts of Raymond, NH and we put some old cans up on a wooden fence. Grampa had it stoked with his competition loads, an H&G #130 over some tiny charge of Hercules Bullseye. Real softball loads they were, but I was 8 years old and had only shot .22's up to that point. Old slab sides made quite an impression on this kid.

Grampa was the one that soldered on the Patridge front and bobbed the hammer. No doubt killed any collector value, but no matter... It's priceless to me. I have a lot of handguns that I shoot more, but they are just things. This gun is my heritage.

Just recently added this '92 Colt Gold Cup. It was worked over by Clark's Custom Guns in '93. It's seen plenty of use but you still need a bushing wrench to disassemble it and it is stupidly accurate. It's going back to Clark's this week to be tuned up and refinished back to the condition it was in when it left the shop in 1993. They say it'll take about 3 months, I'll post pics and a range report when I get it back. It should be a blast to shoot, they guarantee 2.5" 10 shot groups at 50 yards!!
