Please stop giving this advice. Steel wool, no matter how fine, is still steel and should never be used on blued steel guns. Bronze or brass wool is not hard to get and is much to be preferred for this type of use. Even it should be used gently, if you don't want to damage the existing blue finish.Get some 4 Ought (0000) steel wool and a cleaning oil and try to take care of that.
