I guess it's just that time of the year all over the world. Cold! It sure feels like it anyway. Here in the Bahamas it isn't freezing but the winds they be a howlin'.

Here in Atlantis on Nassau in the Bahamas, where we were expecting some more tropical weather conditions we are instead experiencing sustained winds of 25 - 30 mph gusting to 40 - 45. Pro'lly only about 55 - 60 deg.F but with the wind chill factor it feels like about 10 deg. below 0. palm trees layin' over on their sides. The hotels are full but the pools and beaches are deserted. The bars, on the other hand are doin' a brisk business. And I'm a fixin' to go and join them. The two hardest things to find around here right now are a person on the beach and an empty bar stool.

This has been a great trip but I'm ready to head back home. See y'all Sunday night. (if we don't all get blown away...)

yeah we just had the coldest Christmas-New Years period in decades; Charleston SC got more snow yesterday than we've had for the season so far; Erie PA got 5' of snow in a couple days, and sharks are being found frozen in the northeast.

It's already been quite the winter, and it's just started. I cant wait to see what Jan-March brings (I type this while sitting in a pool of sarcasm lol)

Yes cold I grew up a lived central florida for 50 plus years. We moved north end almost two years ago. Had early morning doc appointment med bus picked me up. Lot of frost on ground and pad lock on front gate key hole was frozen a first for a florida boy at 56 clicks on clock.another cold tonight they say.

It is unseasonably cold here this week, no snow but cold. Watching the weather channel today I sure feel sorry for you folks in New York City and Boston area's. That really looks rough. I guess folks in snow country are used to those conditions but they sure look brutal. Stay safe and keep as warm as possible.
