How cool is your state's driver's license?

Joke is that as I turn 75 this August when I renewed my license they only renewed it for 1 year. Montana renews for 8 years EXCEPT when your going to turn 75 or 21. Those approaching those ages only get theirs until that particular birthday. When you turn 21 they give you a slightly different license with forward facing profile picture and it is no longer "provisional". Then they want to physically take a look and talk to you when you turn 75 to see if your still functioning well. When you renew after 75 it is 4 years at a time. Why I can renew for 4 years at 75 and not at 74 is a mystery of governmental thinking

Pop got his license renewed at 102.

For a big gun search the Lincoln gun at Fort Monroe. Fired a 330 pound explosive shell close to 4 miles during the Civil War. 15 inch bore, largest in the world at that time, 1862. Weighed 52k pounds, 26 tons.

The revolution ended at Yorktown battlefield, same county where I currently live. Lots of cannon there.

Also Mariners Museum where the actual turret of the Monitor now resides after being removed from it's graveyard off Cape Hatteras.

I once drove from Houston to Uvalde to pick up an 1873 Winchester carbine with a half magazine. Had sword damage on the barrel. Looked exactly like the one used in the movie Hombre with Paul Newman.

My grandmother's maiden name was Crockett and she was related to the Crockett of the Alamo.

Tangier island in the Chesapeake Bay is home to a whole horde of Crocketts and alcohol is illegal. It seems like alcohol and Crocketts don't mix well. Maybe the reason no drink has ever been named after a Crockett.:ROFLMAO:

Now if you want a 16 inch gun there is the Wisconsin in the water dockside in Norfolk. 16X9.
