How deep is the laser etching

Looking to bid online on a 25-5 RB 3" but want to remove the "Lady Smith" etched on the side plate and then have it refinished with the matte bead blasted finish. Since I don't have one to look at does anyone know how deep the laser etching is? Would it be fairly easy to remove with wet-dry paper?

It's very shallow. Usually it will rub off with too much handling. Probably ScotchBrite would take it off. The bead blasting will take it off for sure, so I don't think anything else would be needed.

I have a 629 mtn gun and a 686 mtn gun.......That all that CHEAP LOUSY WORTHLESS etching has long wore off and gone..........GUESS they are orphans now........
