How do I remove the rear sight?

I have a new production S&W revolver with the 3 tap holes in the top of the frame. I want to put a weaver style base and red dot on the revolver. The rear sight has a screw in the front. What is the proper procedure to remove the sight? Thanks for your help.

Take the front screw completely of the sight and pull the sight back and off.
