How do you bend a Guide Rod

like in the movies

"We never could figure out how a new ambulance with only about 5,000 miles on it ended up with a broken rear brake drum while nothing around it was damaged."

Reminds me of the Nicolas Cage movie"Bringing out the Dead' when Tom Sizemore tells how he's been trying to kill that ambulance and it wont die!
I worked many years in EMS and it made me laugh, how many bad drivers were operating emergency vehicles.

ACEd, is this the same 4046 that has the broken barrel? I just read your post about that one a few minutes ago. If so, I think there is a 'relationship' with the damaged parts. If not, where are you finding all of these damaged pieces? (Just an inquiring mind that 'gots to know'.)
Not the same gun.

These are Brinks guns that were posted for sale "as is" may be non-operational on major auction site - about a dozen sets, maybe more, over a couple of weeks, some single pistols some 2 or more in a "kit" of what would generously be described as Gunsmith Specials - most of them in pieces, some missing pieces.

Oddly enough they brought good money - much more than I would have expected. In at least one case more than a working Brinks 4046TSW that sold for $331 from a verified but NR seller in same time frame. Go figure

In the American Single Shot Rifle Association, frequent mention is made of a mythical gunsmith named "Harlow Parkenfarker". His ability to screw up fine firearms goes beyond legendary. I always thought the rumored Harlow Parkenfarker School of Gunsmithing was an urban legend, but now I'm not so sure. Some of his graduates seem to be working for Brinks.
