thought I would start this just to see what every one else carries and how.
I have a shield 40 that I carry in a blackhawk #5 in the small of back no safety one in the pipe. This will change soon as I just picked up the shield a week ago. Just need a new holster.

Shield 9mm with Speer Gold Dot 124 grain hp's. Carried in a Remora IWB holster with extra magazine in weak side pocket.

I carry my Shield 9 NTS in either an N82 Tactical Professional or an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0 holster. Both are carried IWB in the 3 to 3:30 position with a good quality leather gun belt. The N82 is definitely my go to and can easily hide the Shield with a simple pair of cargo shorts and T shirt. I like both holsters but the Alien requires wearing an undershirt tucked between myself and the gun to keep the grip area from rubbing me raw. The N82 is made so that none of the gun touches your skin and at least for me, it's much more comfortable for summertime carry.

Another vote for Remora. I have a couple of them for my Shield 40 and my j-frame revolvers. I find Remora to be a nice versatile holster that I've never had a retention issue with them. The gun stays put when I want it to and comes right out only when I ask it to.

A lot/most of the time I carry my 40 Shield in a Galco pocket holster in my cargo shorts. Sometimes a spare magazine in the weak side patch pocket. When that isn't an option my preference is a Lobo Gun Leather enhanced pancake OWB with a shirt that covers in sufficiently or a jacket in winter. For me OWB is much more comfortable than IWB. If the shirt is just too short to cover the pancake I go to an N82 Original which is about as comfortable an IWB as I've found.

When none of those are a good option, the Ruger LCP goes in the pocket of just about anything.

Call me crazy, but summertime I just pop my shield 40 in my pocket with an extra mag in my weak side cargo short pocket. Never leave home without it.

I carry my Shield's in a Desantis Superfly pocket holster. Might have to get a new one soon cuz the outside of the holster is starting to wear out and not as grippy. This holster also fits my 40C and Taurus G2.

My Shield 9mm NTS, 1-in-the-chamber, 7rd mag with spare 8-rd mag in either the weak side pocket or holster, depending on which holster I'm wearing.
Two holsters for now: The TactiPac Fusion IWB at 4:00, or the TactiPac Elite (with spare mag holder) deep concealed 12:00 very, very low ;)

Minotaur IWB @ 4o'clock. Extra pair of mags on weak side. Highly recommend Pearce extensions for the 7rd mags.

Shield 9 with TS, in IWB holster from Gavin at firearmholster.com

I've recently started carrying a spare mag in my weak side cargo pocket.

Being retired for just over a year, I've learned what works for concealed carry for me. Over that time, I've pared down the likely daily carry guns for most circumstances to my 9mm Shield or my 340 M&P. If I feel the need for something bigger for an out of town excursion, I'll carry my Glock 26, Glock 19 or one of my 1911's.

I carry the Shield in a Kydex holster of my own design and construction. I built it with medium gauge (.080) Kydex, so it's light, but quite sturdy. I also found that, while the belt loop type holsters fit pretty tight to the side, I can get even more tight fit to the body with slots cut into the holster, pancake holster style. I carry a 7 round mag in the Shield, with either one or two 8 round spares, usually in a pocket. The holster is at 3:00 o'clock and the ammunition is Speer Gold Dot 124+p.

Current setup is Shield .40 with 8 rounds of 180 grain HST on board, in an Alien Gear cloak tuck 2.0 @ 4-4:30. Extra 6 round mag in cheap multi tool pouch @ 8:00 on my Wilderness Tactical instructor's belt.

N82 tactical professional at 4:00. 7 round + 1 in chamber. NTS. Pearce extender

Either Adams Leather, or Serpa, RH cross draw at about 10-10:30.
