Shield 9 NTS in a Raw Dog Tactical at 4 o'clock. 9+1 using MagGuts with 2 spare 9 rnd mags in a carrier in my left front pocket. May go back to OWB when cooler weather gets here when I can wear a light jacket.
M&P Compact, currently in a Comp Tac b/c I wanted tuckable, but it's really not working out for me - maybe too much love handle but I have issues with the tuckable bits and getting it just right. I'm thinking about switching either to a single clip holster like the N82 or Desantis shown above or similar, or maybe to a Remora/Sticky type. In Florida we just don't have that many days where a cover garment is practical, which limits my options. I also carry a TCP at times in a pocket hoster as well, but prefer to have the M&Pc when I can...
I now have 3 holsters for my shield all of them are IWB. I carried appendix for a long time and recently started to try 4 o'clock. I have an Incog G Code kydex holster for appendix carry, a leather holster by The Holster Store for either appendix or 4 o'clock , and just received my new Alien Gear 3.0 which will obviously be 4 o'clock only.
I carry a 40 Shield in a 3.0 AlienGear holster. Recently I carried from 8AM until 9PM while driving 2 hours straight. This holster is a real winner. Comfortable and totally concealable. After buying several others this is the only one I will use. You can conceal under a dress shirt. After summer heat 117 degrees in Palm Springs it will be my carry under a light jacket where it will be more accessible.
Summer: Ruger LC9s-Pro; Winter: M&P45c. Both have Crimson Trace Laserguards, both carried in Crossbreed SuperTuck IWB's. Extra Mags carried in horizontal holders for comfort.
Admittedly, I don't carry much, and I have a drawerfull of holsters. Once I found the Remora, my search was over. Lightweight, works well, stays put, inexpensive, no fuss, no muss. Strongside hip, about 3:30.
Honestly, some of these new holsters look like a contraption that fell off the space shuttle. Simple is better, IMO.
When I carry the Shield it's in a single clip kydex holster strong-side iwb and a Desantis mag packer. The holster sits low on the belt line, conceals well, lightweight, impervious to moisture and easy to put on and take off.
