How dry is it where you live

It's so dry here that my snuff dries out before I open the can of Copenhagen. Hoping for that El Nino they keep talking about.

There was a ban on beach fires here for a couple weeks this year. That doesn't happen very often!

We're back to normal now. Somewhere between cloudy and foggy, low sixty-ish.

A town I lived in for a couple years in NE Oregon was evacuated due to forest fire, and I have friends in Idaho who fought them all summer long.

We've had the driest summer in a long time, Thursday we got 3" of rain, we do have a heavy dew every morning it keeps the grass green.

We're so dry in CA that we've been on fire all summer. As soon as they get one fire controlled another breaks out. I've been stuck at home for the most part for three days now as the air is heavy with smoke from the Jackson fire. One of our favorite local camping areas on BLM land is now scorched and a lot of people are being evacuated. Some rain would be nice but we are preparing for El Nino.

Dry spell now but late spring and summer was wetter than usual in louisville area. love the farmers joke.

So you'll be swapping fires for mudslides.:( That blows chunks.

Seattle used to be known as the "Emerald City", this summer it looks more like the "Sepia City". Only thing that grows at my place are the blackberries.

We had a very hot July and August. On average here in L&C County we get a mere 14" of precipitation annually. Last week before we had our first rain in several weeks we were at 8.99" and ended up with about an inch or 1.5" depending on area.

So YES it's dry here.

Been three days since our last rain. Wading through the local WMA running the dog. Pheasants are using snorkels when hiding.

Plenty damp here. The grass keeps growing like crazy, the mosquitoes are mean, and it's starting to be difficult to find a day when the grass is dry enough to mow. We got over 4" in a few hours on 9/11.

I live near Lake Norman in North Carolina. The lake is 5' lower then normal. Many of the boat ramps are closed. I watched a guy pull away from his dock the other day and all you could see is red mud being churned up behind him. Some of the long time residents here say it's the worst they have seen it.

It's been pretty dry here but if we need rain all I ever have to do is wash my truck. It'll rain for the next three days.

The forecast for this winter is not going to be pretty for the Left coast.
I sure aint pretty for us either---a long, lingering, colder than usual and wetter than usual winter.
Climate change seems to happen on a regular basis.
Blessings

PS---I really would like to feel sorry for So. Cal. except that they built a city in a desert and expected it to rain regularly .
