How heavy is a sstock J frame hammer spring?

Just curious, I may buy some lighter weight springs to see how it responds. Wolff sells a three pack of 8, 8.5, and 9 pound springs, but what is the stock weight for a J frame?

Wolff lists the "factory standard" J frame mainspring as 8.5lbs. I always thought they were 9lbs. I'm sure they have a very scientific, repeatable way of evaluating spring pressure, so they are probably correct.

That's interesting. You would think the stock would be the heaviest one they have.
