How many handguns do you take to the range each time?

My EDC's. M&P's if I'm carrying auto. The snubby and Model 19 if it's wheelguns. My 1911 with .22lr conversion unit installed goes too. Keeps me 1911 proficient and is cheap/fun to shoot.

I take one at a time unless I have company. Yiogo

I usually take 8 or 9 guns and stay for about 2 hours. I shoot a mix of carry/self defense weapons, and older guns that I enjoy shooting and reloading for. I fire 20-50 rounds out of each weapon.

Here's a list of what I fired last Saturday, in the approximate order that I used them:

Walther PP .22 LR
S&W M18-2 .22 LR (bought new in 1965)
SIG P232 .380 ACP
S&W M1899 Serial #225 .38 Special
Colt M1909 .45 Colt
S&W M625-11 .45 Colt
S&W 1911 PD .45 ACP
M1911A1 WWII vintage .45 ACP
S&W M&P 9 mm

And to finish up with a real bang, a Stoeger 12 gauge Coach Gun with Fiocchi 00 buckshot loads. I usually clean my guns after about 200 rounds, otherwise I'd spend more time cleaning than shooting. I always start with about 50 rounds of .22 LR and I use both bullseye and silhouette targets, mostly at 50 feet. Almost all my centerfire shooting is with handloads, with some factory 9 mm thrown in.

Depends on the session. If is a rifle session, just the CC. On handgun session, I have pre-loaded gun cases in 38 & 45 to which I'll add some more, most cases hold up to 8-2" to 4" revolvers or small/ med. autos. So to answer your question CC plus 8 (and a staple gun, so it makes 10) Ivan

I take all four. They fit in one case and I keep shooting till they're filthy. They are: K-22, M-48, 1905 4th change, & 14-3. I don't own a safe, so there's no point in having a "safe queen". They're all shooters.

Generally two to three.
I enjoy a variety so I take different calibers usually.
I make sure I shoot all my guns.
I alternate between 380, 9, .45 and .223.
Will soon be adding .40 to rotation.

i take all the S&W revolvers that i want to practice with, at the range, on a given day

I always try to fire a mag or two through my EDC which is my full size 1911. Other than that, it all depends. I always clean my guns after a range trip regardless of the round count. I always like the time cleaning anyway.

I used to take several, but for the last year or so I've tried to adopt a "purpose driven shooting" approach. That is, I think about what I want to accomplish or practice in a given range session and stick to that. It might be to test a gun back from the gunsmith, or to sight one in, or it might be to practice a technique. Of course, I often sneak along a .22 just for fun.

Most days 3, maybe 4 always my Model 17 8 3/8" to warm up with after that a mix of S&W and Dan Wesson .38's/357's maybe a .44 Mag.

Usually one. I try to fire at least 200 rounds.

I like to take 2 and shoot them against each other, comparing targets. It makes me try harder to improve if I'm running a competition with myself.

Just the other day my Shield 9mm destroyed my Government Model Mustang. In a closer competition last month, my Glock 32 took down my Browning Hi Power 75th Anniversary model. I was not happy with that result, but pleased at the same time with the win for the Glock.

See how that works? ;)

Usually 3. I tend to rotate the guns I take to the range: always a carry gun, usually a Ruger 22/45, and one or two guns which are due to be shot/cleaned.

Always take the usual carry, S&W 386PD, and 642. The other two less frequent carry are the 329PD and the Glock 30. One or two .22 revolvers or pistols. Long guns would be either AR or AK platform and one or two .22 rim fire. Needless to say, it makes a long day at the range.

Much of the time I bring a .22lr version of the 'bigger' thing I'm going to shoot. I think it's cheaper that way to get the warm up 'trigger time'.

So, usually, 4 or 5, two of which will be .22's.

I only take one or two with a plan of what I want to practice.

In the past, I'd take everything. Then I realized I wasn't learning anything that way.

If I go plink in the woods out back usually just one in a holster and maybe a 22 rifle (10-22 or SR-22) or something like my defensive shotgun. If I go to the range seems like it's 3 handguns and a scatter gun or two for clays.
