Sorta kinda. I won a case of .410 shells at a banquet raffle and traded a clunker 12 gauge for a Rossi version of the Snake Charmer. Handy little rat and reptile medicine.
I've bought spam cans of surplus anything in the past if it was cheap enough. I've always found buyers for the stuff and because I bought it cheap I was able to turn a tidy profit without gouging. How the heck do you wind up buying ammo that you don't have a weapon to use it ?
This is not a wise decision.
I don't buy this post.
In the long run you are going to lose money.
I never have. I did buy a handgun once because I had a holster for it. I guess that's a similar situation?
My SIL gave me 3 boxes of .357 Sig he mistakenly bought for his 686 during the famine. When a good deal on a Sig 239 in .357 showed up at my LGS I jumped on it, already had ammo.
Seems .357 Sig is still available though.
Consider that a blessing in disguise. 357 sig is awesome imo. As is the Sig 239. I have 2.
