How Many Will N O T Be Watching the Super Bowl?

like most Americans...

we will not be watching the game.. neither Missouri team is playing & none of the grandkids' favorite teams are either.... so it's Undercover Boss for us...

My wife and I attend a Superbowl party with great food every year. I sit in another room reading a book, and she and the others watch the game. We leave as soon as halftime is over. The only non-shooting sport I'm mildly interested in is baseball.

Well, my plan didn't work out too well. I went out to the Rod & Gun club, hoping that most people would be watching the game. Unfortunatly, a whole bunch of Club members had the same idea and the ranges were full. So I went home. I emptied the case cleaner, it was full of 30-06s from a shooting session a few months ago with a new M1. Decapped them and stowed them. Filled the case cleaner with 38 Specials; that Internet Snubby match and various other activities really eat up the 38s, and I've got to start reloading another batch. Have to go by the El Paso Gun Exchange (they exchange guns for money) tomorow and see if they have any Hornady hollow base wadcuters. I have a nice H&G mould for a 38 wadcutter but I'm lazy. Then I finished Haldeen Braddy's excellent book: Pershing's Mission in Mexico. After all that strenuous labor, I felt tired, so I took a nap until suppertime. A nice way to spend the afternoon.

Spent the evening killing mice and being harassed, long distance,by an old girlfriend oh yeah,I was sipping scotch while whackin the little *******s [emoji1]

I'm glad I watched the game tonight.
It reminds me why I don't watch football during the regular season.

BORINGGGGGGGGGG

It's all rigidly choreographed, fake, Hollywood-style fiction. Every play is dictated by corporate shot-callers, with pre-determined results with every snap of the ball. One more for the Gipper? Give me a break. If you're interested in old school, genuine contests between true athletes, watch midget wrestling!

Had a fun day at the local USPSA match, it was a sparsely attended event, probably because of the Super Bowl, but it made for a fun day, got rained on a bit but that's what raincoats are for. Came home, turned the game on and fell asleep on the couch. Perfect day. :D

Gotta say that some plays looked like points shaving was the game of the day. Either that or there was a major conspiracy to ensure I didn't win any of the squares this year.:p

Now that that's finally over, pitchers & catchers report for spring training in 11 days. Like baseball or not, it means spring, then summer are right around the corner.

SPORTS

I don't think I've watched more then a quarter of a game in the last 10 years. However, I'm a College football nut, so I get my fill on Saturday's.

Not true to the thread, but IMO all team sports reach their finest level in college ;):)

I have not watched a Superbowl game yet. I drove past the stadium yesterday on SR 237 at 2:30 on my way home from a rifle match. The traffic was unusually light for a Sunday. I live about 4 miles from the stadium. For all you frozen folks out there the temperature on my truck thermometer read 72F as I drove past. Oh and I came in second AA at the silhouette match.

I sort of watched it, I was at my part-time job, the TV was in line of sight and I was close enough to hear without straining. I thought having the MVPs from games past was a touch of class.
