This thread is getting a little long in the tooth but today I bought a new shield .40 for $429 plus tax in Norfolk, Va. Really pleased but no cleaning kit. Can I use the same kit for both a 9mm and a .40?

I paid $425 for mine several months ago. In the last month, I have seen them at local gun stores (LGS) for $429-449.

Individuals that are selling them are asking significantly more.

LEO/Mil can get them for about $100 cheaper.

YMMV.

I just paid $500 at Delray Shooting Center, FL.

I was happy to pay it though. Didn't have to be on a waiting list or anything like that. I made a phone call, it was there, I said hold it and showed up 15 mins later cash in hand
