How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

I think I paid $415 out the door back in April, with a 50 round box of ammo, and half hr of range time. I don't really remember because its been a while. They had like 25 of the 9mm and like 50 of the 40's. Then cabelas called me and asked if I still wanted one. They were all over. Wish I could have bought them and jacked the price to all the people that still haven't got one.

I paid 399.00 + tax. at a local gun show. I went to 2 gun shows looking for a 9mm Shield. The second one I went to one dealer had one for sale. He didn't have it on the table. But when I asked asked if he had one. He just looked at me kinda funny and said your late its after 1 o'clock and your just now getting here. He then took a brand new shield from under the table and started the paper work with out even asking me if I would take it. He didn't have to ask. I got it the first week in Dec. for what I thought was a very good price considering the availability.

Got mine at Academy Sports in Athens, GA. I asked the salesman if they had an M&P 40 Shield, He said, "Yes, right over here for $399". I told him to start the paperwork!!

Academy Sports & Outdoors has them for $399.

But I compared the Shield to M&P 9c and bought the M&P 9c Compact

same here. Bought the 9c which was on sale for $399 + tax. Can't beat that with a stick. Plus manufactured after 6/1/2012. Trigger feels nice.

I paid $ 469 + 6% MD tax + $ 10 shipping + $ 50 transfer fee + $ 10 MSP background check fee = $ 557.14. Sounds like a lot compared to the "out the door" prices from LEO's and military, or even civvy retail prices in Texas, Florida, or elsewhere, but I paid about $ 65 more for my Range & Carry kit M&P .40 FS 15+1 last May.

At the end of the day, what matters is, I'm satisfied with the deal, and glad to have the Shield (on its way -- it may be weeks instead of days before I pick it up, because of the madness in gun sales, the State Police are swamped with requests for background checks for sales of regulated rifles and pistols).

Either pick an existing thread about the M&P 9c (this one is about the prices people have paid for the Shield) -- or, and this is probably the better course, start a new thread, introduce yourself and ask your questions.

You can use the "Search" function within the forum to find existing posts that may answer your questions, but, usually, people will cut a newbie some slack while they're learning how to use the forum.
