How Old Is Everyone?

All you old-timers are making me feel like a young buck! I'm 35, will be 36 in May. But, they say you're as old (or as young) as you feel. My girl is 28, so I feel pretty young!
In all seriousness though, I love that the majority of members here seem to be 60+. Y'all are the cats I try to learn from. No one my age can teach me squat! God bless you all! And a special THANK YOU to all you old farts who served to protect and defend the liberties that many in my generation take for granted. That shout-out goes out to all past, present, and future military personnel, LEOs and all first responders.

I've been lucky... So far.
Never underestimate luck. You can have all the FATE and DESTINY you want to but if you don't have a little good luck here and there you are in for a rough ride.
Think back on all the trivial occasions in your life where you made a choice which, at the time, may have seemed like no big deal but at a point in the future it took you on a life changing path.
My best example is that I made a choice to go with my friend over to his girlfriends house and there is where I met Miss Pam. Had I not done that at that time I'd never have met her. I get weak in the knees when I think how empty the last 49 years of my life would have been if not for a lucky choice.

It didn't happen all at one time. The first years it was tested on small groups. My best friend was only a few months older than me and had polio as a child and was paralyzed from the waist down. I was born in June 1955 and by then testing was done and mass inoculations had been started. Many people don't realize what a horror that was.

I got vaccinated, can't remember exactly at what age, but was old enough to remember a vaccine by means of a sugar cube. A girl 3 years older than me had the polio.

Even with twins, everyone is at least a little older or a little younger than everyone else
I got the polio shots, which predated the vaccine administered through sugar cubes. But there was still one fellow in my high school class who contracted polio.
The old Beatles hit "Yesterday" has the line "I'm not half the man I used to be,..."

I just hit 60 last October. For the last 25 years (since I married my wife) every year has been better than the one before.
