I turned 57 last November.
My wife and I recently went on a road trip to visit some friends and family. We stayed the night with a friend she's known since she went to college. He was our age and complained about aches, pains and how he needs to get his cataracts removed.
My wife's brother's 9 years her junior and he's turning grey and his wife and my wife were discussing their menopause symptoms.
My wife and I took pictures of our nephew on the day he was born, he's now 17 years old.
Thing is, I don't remember aging.
I'm still hiking, biking and working out at the gym.
Must be the beer and cigars....

Never underestimate the effect of beer & cigars.

I am old enough to be old by some standards and young by others. Sort of a tweener. Lets just say My M16A1 was my rifle in the Army not an M14 or an M1 Garand. I drove a 155mm Howitzer defending West Germany against those pesky East Germans in the 70s. I missed Viet Nam by 1 year! So that should narrow it down for you all who are good at ciphering! I have also bought 37 cars/trucks since I was 18. But that doesn't really help much... just thought I would throw that out there.

I lack just one year from being two years older than I was a year ago.

Youth and enthusiasm will always be overcome by old age and treachery.

(The original used to say "old age and experience", but I like my version better!)

I'll be 73 in November, seems like every year for the last ten, something new pops up. This year was prostate cancer, got taken care of in January, almost normal and ready for the next bout.
