How stupid are we?

I don't know if it would work to let all the druggies waste themselves. If they all die who will pay taxes to support us in our old age? Who would do the service jobs? Who would fill the millions of Governmental jobs?

After the body count, it would take 30 years to stabilize and for my younger grandchildren and their piers to take over the word.

The OP's question, "How stupid are we?" has one of those answers that is apparent to us all. It's one of those things that simply has no limits.

There’s a report on local news today about CARFENTINAL. Someone died from an overdose. Apparently it’s 100 times more potent than fentanyl and 1000 times more potent than morphine. Yes 1000 times. The county is issuing warnings to assume all cocaine in western NY contains this. So I guess we have to tell people that drugs might kill them. I’m guessing drug users are going to use drugs with or without warnings.

I like the thought ... if only it were just that simple.
A fair number of those junkies are what they are today because of irresponsibly prescribed pain killers.
A script for oxy has put the shackles on many. Not all are tough enough to break em. Those who can't, all too often fall down the opiate rabbit hole.
