How to fix design defect in shield 2.0 hinge trigger?

It's you, not the gun, but I doubt that you will ever admit that. As for all the agency you claim change triggers I call BS in an attempt to justify your position.

^^^^^ This.

Maybe the OP really is a novice shooter and doesn't realize that it's him and not the machine, but with all his un-defendable accusations and claims, this is looking and smelling more like a troll than ever.

Either way, nothing is going to get resolved here, so let's just give this thread a 1-star rating and let it die (or get it locked).

@pmandayam have you tried shooting the M2.0 Shield Performance Center YET?
Inquiring minds wanna know
Hopefully your technique will change & you will be a top shot with that sweet little pistol..
I have a PC Plus & a M2.0 with the hinged trigger
If a Factory Plus Trigger shows its head, you might want to try one, easy swap, once you get those two roll pins out of the frame that is...
Some can be stubborn & are really tight but if they weren't they would vibrate out during recoil, which does happen time to time with the M&Ps
Good Luck
Gary

Yes I have, a few times. In fact, I shot it at the range yesterday. And what I noticed is that this problem doesn't happen while I'm shooting it, it only happens if I force it to in an artificial and intentional way that doesn't reflect a realistic shooting scenario and shooting grip! As someone said above in this thread, there are many number of ways that one can try to make a gun fail, so one should try to make the gun work!

So, this means I'm keeping this gun as is!!

There ya go :)

Nobody has been beating you up for having trouble with the trigger. NO piece of equipment is great for EVERYbody.

The problem has been your insistence that because YOU were having trouble with it, there must be something wrong with it.

I bet after a little while, you'll have it down and wonder how you had any problems with it in the first place.

I have no authority here and I'm not even a prominent member, but I'm pretty sure I speak for everybody in saying that I hope you stick around and share your experiences as you progress.

Congratulations! You've now discovered the principle behind the M&P's hinged trigger safety design. You can only pull it when you have gripped the gun properly and are ready to fire. It cannot be pulled if you stick your finger inside the trigger guard at some random angle by accident, thus preventing a negligent discharge.

So you posted about a problem that doesn't exist, went to the trouble of making a video to prove there was a problem, and all before even firing the gun. You, Sir, have issues.

The idea of getting a SIG Sauer P365 is the ticket... NOT!
It will just cost you more money & be prepared to pay $50ea for magazines + extra grip frames etc.
Don't ask how I know... :D
