"Open Roads" are sold where ever Stetsons are sold. Stetson's and Resistol's are owned by the same manufacturer now, Stetson sold out many moons ago.

I have always had Stetson hats, since I was an adult. Nice to see how they're made.

Bit of trivia for everyone: Do you know why the brim is curled upwards on cowboy hats?

Answer: So they can get 3 in the front seat of a pickup truck.

I've worn a few Stetsons in my life. I paid $12.50 for my first Stetson many years ago...a 4x beaver. To show you just how long ago that was, when I bought it I kept thinking, "Can I really afford this?"

That hat more than paid for itself over the years. It was handed down to my oldest son, then he handed it down to his oldest son, my grandson. Here's a picture of that grandson on the first pack trip I took him on. He's wearing that same ol' Stetson. That has to say something about the quality of a good beaver-felt hat.:)

That Stetson is a handsome hat. $225 for a good hat is a quite reasonable price. I do note, from the video, that Stetson is using rabbit fur.

Just saw Mule Packer’s post above mine. I wonder if Stetson stopped using beaver, or if they still have it available? If they do, bet it is more than the $225 models.
