I am trying to remove the flash suppressor from my 15-22. I can't get it to budge at all. Don't want to scratch up the barrel with vise grips or anything like that. Any ideas on how to get it off?

It might be left hand threads. I am not sure but you need to be careful to not damage your receiver. As you are looking down the barrel look at your rifleing the threads will be the same as the rifeling. If the bullet is spinning to the right the threads will be right to tighten.

You need to clamp the barrel with soft jaws (preferably gunsmith-type soft jaws) in a vise.

Heat with heat gun or torch, and loosen with open-end wrench or AR15 armorer's tool. It's lefty-loosey, righty-tighty, just like most flash hiders.

Look at the bottom of the flashhider and see if you dont see a pin. if it was done right it will be hard to see . What size is your barrel? if its less than 16 without the flashhider its pinned and you will have to grind some to get it out.
