Stand it up right, and put a few drops of oil in the hole. Let it sit over night. The next day start working it back and forth. The blade and plunger will come loose. At least that's been my experience.
I got it out, new sight installed. Oil would not have worked in this case. There was to much material on the OEM sight to just slide it back and up and out. I had to rap on it with a hammer, put a pair of vise grips on and lightly rap the vise grips while locked on the sight to get it to come out. There was no damage to the gun at all, just marred up the OEM sight real good. Bought a new Hi-Viz sight and sanded the new sight down and it slipped right in, no problem.
