I realized I was really old when I was at the feed store last week with a couple 50-pound bags of feed on the cart. Went through the checkout line and the young lady behind the counter said, "Here, let me get someone to help you load those into your vehicle."
That was bad enough...then Jennifer came over...maybe 5'3" and all of 94 pounds. She walked me out to the truck, heaved a 50-pound sack of feed over her shoulder and heaved it into the bed of the pickup. Just to keep my dignity, I grabbed the other 50-pound sack and started to put it into the truck. "Here," she said. "Let me help you with that."
Yep. I guess it's pretty obvious to folks that I'm old.![]()
