How well do you take a compliment?

This morning my wife said to me, "Out of the three sons your mom had I got the best of the bunch. " I smiled at her and replied, " Thanks sweetie, but that bar was set pretty low, you know". I got "that look" after that reply. How are you at handling a compliment?

Depends on the compliment! "That's a really big belly you got their Ivan." verses, "Your wife is the best cook I know." They say pretty much the same thing, but the first is kind of snarky!

If your wife gives you a compliment like that give her a hug, kiss, tell her you love her and then shut up!

How to take a compliment depends on who is giving it.

When you get a compliment, give a compliment back it doesn't cost anything. Maybe the person giving one hasn't received one in a long time and you really make their day!

I once introduced myself to my new banking staff this way:

Oh, the looks I got. It was priceless.
