I think it's a valid question, and I'm surprised and saddened that people would try to shame or shout down the OP.
Surely Ukraine is also in need of oil and gas, if we send it over does it affect our current market prices here? Is it taboo to even ask the question?
I find it interesting to note the overall manufacturing numbers. As a person who predominantly shoots imported 9mm (S&B, Fiocchi, PPU, etc), I wonder what THEIR numbers are, added to what's made in the US.
And again, I think it's a valid question. You can accuse me of being selfish or classless, but the fact is I can't affect a war in Europe. However, it can affect me. We've been in a shortage for several years now, and whenever it seems to be turning a corner, something else comes along and creates more stress on the market. Objectively, this war is doing that. In a big way, if you happen to shoot calibers like 7.62x39; I think it's a fair assessment to state that will never return to being the ultra-cheap caliber it was for so long.
