How'd you get that name?

P47 Thunderbolt. Was a WW2 American Fighter plane.I'm interested in all things ww2,my dad was a wounded vet and told stories about the P-47 straffing ang bombin the Germans. The Mustang,P-51 got most of the glory,It deserved it I guess

I dig old WW2 stuff as well. My dad didn't fight over there but he was occupation forces reight after. As a kid I used to love to hear stories about it. I'd like to visit Germany some day, I'm half German and have some roots over there.

My thanks to your father for his service.

I have been out shooting in December and January here in Fairbanks so coldshooter it is. BTW at -50 ear plugs don't work well and the cold dense air carries sound well, just a helpful hint.

Your crazy!! Does the bullet just freeze in mid-air 1 foot from the muzzle?? This Texas boy ain't gettin' anywhere near your -50!!

I play too! I started when I was 9 years old so I've been playing for 31 years now. It's more than a hobby, it's part of who and what I am now. I'm sure you can understand that one.:D

Well howdy there 'tar slinger. :D

I started at ten when I got an acoustic guitar for Xmas (I wanted one and I loved The Ventures). I also got a Play Along With The Ventures album with it. Best Xmas I had.

I'm 61 now and haven't played much anymore but I love guitars. I work on 'em more than I play 'em. :p

A shortening of my last name given to me by my football coaches back in the day. Always stuck with friends and the like.

Well, I was born in Boston ( BOS) and a big Red Sox Fan ( Red)

So, Redbos

Well when I was filing the image of Bull (my avatar) sleeping I made a typo and included the T to slepebull. The name stuck and I have been using it ever since.

BTY gscrasher, I ride a GS also; fortunately with less personal discomfort so far. My Sigma was in the tank bag.

My username stands for Shoot When I Can. Doesn't happen very often but do it as much as I can.

My dad was called grandpa Johnny by his grand kids. When a couple of my sisters started calling him that as well, he told me that he didn't like it. At his 90th birthday party I made an announcement that since he had reached 90 he should be called by the name he preferred, grandpa John.

When I sat down he called me a knuckle head. Maybe that should have been my user name. He passed before I joined the forum so I decided to use his last nickname.
