Howdy gang,
I'm a new gun owner as of last December when I picked up a Ruger 10/22 and Semi-Auto 22LR pistol. All winter saw me sending a brick of 22LR down range every week and having a ball watching my shooting improve.
It didn't take long to realize I enjoyed the challenge of shooting the pistol well a bit more than the rifle.
Around February I got the itch to pick up a 9mm when I noticed something on the range calendar about an IPSC match. A month later I was sporting a Glock 34. At this point I've competed in maybe 8 matches. Practical shooting is a lot of fun, but will never be a burning passion.
A couple months later I ended up starting handloading. I've always enjoyed hands busy, mind at peace activity in the workshop. Handloading is no different.
Over the summer my thoughts have turned to either picking up my first 1911 or revolver. Revolver won and I'm a week or two from picking up a S&W for target work -- and that's what brought me here.
So thanks in advance for the great advice I'm sure I'll get! And watch for a couple questions I'm planning to put out there to help me choose between a 686 w/6" barrel and a 625 JM
Thanks,
Tom
