Most here have opinions concerning this current
state of affairs in this Country and in fact the world.
Numbers have been crunched, loads of data still
be processed each day. Some good news a lot bad.

Boat loads of opinions from the medical/scientific experts.
Vast amounts of freedoms gone with the stoke of the pen.
Equal amounts of ridiculous theories...such as this one.

Is this virus the FIRST in a continuous series over say 2-3 years or
less. Each one mutating stronger/deadlier.??

Just a weird thought from a guy that is not allowed to go
FISHIN... RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS DADGUM HOUSE !!

Microbes have a head start of billions of years over humanity, and they'll still be here long after we're gone.

As far as human extinction, we're probably more of a danger to ourselves than microbes. The Black Death, the Spanish Flu, and several other outbreaks over human history have failed to extinguish humanity. I don't see that changing any time soon.

Xfuzz, What you need to find for yourself is a Lyle gun...

That's a Navy gun that shoots a tethered line from one ship to another...Then you could tie your fishin lure and line to it, and shoot it out from your house out into the water without ever having to leave your house or property.

That ought to keep the stay at home patrol guessing how you went fishin.:D

There have been no mutations of this virus as of yet. In most cases where viruses do mutate, the mutation does not require a change to the vaccine.

Even at that, this virus is not much different than the SARS virus and there is work on minor changes to that vaccine to see if it can be adapted to fight this virus.

My dad had one in his living room for about 50 years. There is one at the Lighthouse Museum in Fairport Harbor, Ohio.

We also admired the Manby Mortar. (Col Manby also invented the fire extinguisher). I believe it was a competitor of sorts with the Lyle Gun.
