Hi:
Went Ammo Hunting today. After visiting several store/shops I located one box of .44 Magnum ($45.00) and two boxes .357 Sig. (did not purchase)
I have always stayed with 9mm, .38/.357 mag. 40 s&w and .45acp which I thought would be easy to find due to the popularity of the calibers.
All the Stores/Shops had a sign "AMMO- TWO BOXES PER CUSTOMER".
Several places reported that the warehouses and factories were empty.

It's dry as heck. I've been scrambling around buying a little bit here and there. Been trading out of categories where I am flush to fill in where I am light. Bottom line is I have enough to feed my range habit for the rest of this year and still have enough "good stuff" for that worst case scenario. Can't wait for the drought to end.

Out West

It's also impossible to find in my area of Michigan as well. In the last month I have only found 100 rds. of practice ammo. There was plenty of carry ammo around if you were willing to pay for it, but that is even looking like the supply is drying up.

And to think, many of us used to hunt with ammo.

That's one of the many reasons I started reloading my own. I have had a hard time finding .38/.357 and .44 spl/mag that I stocked up on everything to reload. I will still pick up a box here and there if I run across it (especally 9mm).
