Would love to hear from any owners. I’ve never even seen one in person, still on the hunt

I don't have contact info to pass on but I saw one at a gunshow in Topeka KS this weekend. The dealer didn't have the box and it had some finish wear, but looked like very few rounds fired. He wanted $1200.00. I miss the one I had, but not that much..... Sorry this is no help, just that they are out there.

I had a 342PD. Kicked too much with any concealable grips. Probably kicked too much, period. Local PD firearms instructor (reserve USMC officer) felt the same. I sold mine, went back to full house .44 Mags, which were a little easier on the hands.

I've never see one either, but have it's brother, the 296 Airlight Ti.
My 296 is the only one I've ever seen in the wild. I didn't know of their existence until I saw this one at a small LGS in Castle Rock, WA. I picked it up earlier this year and still haven't shot it. More than likely it'll become trading stock. Good luck with your hunt.

Keep the faith… Grails are that way; they come to you because of your persistence.

242’s can be delicate. The silver finish is easy to mar and scratch, can chip, and can change appearance just because of cleaning. Carrying will likely be problematic for the cosmetics.

Good luck with your search… they ARE out there!

I have two 242TI's.

Both are in very nice condition, and one came in a box with all the papers and had never been used much.

I don't carry them, but use them at the range once in a while.

One of them did duty as a house gun at a second home we had for a while. Never had to be used, thank goodness.

Here is one in the box.

Here is another one with Ahrends Cocobolo grips. (They both came with Uncle Mike's boot griips).

I just picked one up with the Box, Lock and Papers, I believe I now have all versions of this gun, I’ll have to get a group Picture.

Model 242

I know this is an old post but I have one! Never fired. Stored in my dehumidified gun safe. Was thinking of selling but not sure what to ask! Can’t even find one on gunbroker.com!
