When I purchased my 22A, I was given a box of CCI Stingers by the dealer. As I understand, it is not a good idea to run high velocity or hyper velocity ammo in the 22A pistols. I realize that the buffer will take a beating but, replacement is simple. Other than the recoil buffer damage, would the use of HV ammo cause other problems. I have been able to buy a bit of HV ammo but no standard velocity ammo. Should I fire away? What are you guys doing?

When I had a 22A, I used nothing but high velocity ammo. No Stinger-type ammo, but mostly because it was a plinking gun. What does your owner's manual say about the type of ammo to use?

Manual only states to use LONG RIFLE Ammo so I would say any type of L.R. ammo will do.
