Well, I am out of work due to an injury for the next 3 weeks. I can't say anymore because of confidentiality stuff, but needless to say I am bored stupid. I can't sleep, I can't work, and i can't get out to the range, and I can't even play with my son much, which really bugs me. So here I am, I know it could be worse, but I am going to go stir crazy before long.

When I was laid up in bed for three months, I bought a project gun and fixed it up. It kept me busy for a while and I ended up with a pretty nice gun.

Keep the faith. At least you have the internet & S&W forum. :)
Get well soon.

Count your blessings...........

The internet is your friend. Think of all of the parents that will never see their children again. I bet those GI's parents would just love to be out of work for 3 months. No offense meant, but it could be MUCH worse. All the best to you in the next three weeks and beyond..............Still enjoyin' my JW wood burning. Thanks again......Sprefix

C'mon, open up a bit and tell us how you really feel........................

I am in a similar mode. The fractured thumb keeps me off the golf course, gun range, out of the gym and the pool. I spend a lot time reading, always a pleasure, and then there is the internet but I can't type worth a damn with the cast on my right arm. Lots of movies to watch on Netflix helps pass the time. Lack of exercise but not appetite is adding a few lbs as well. Hopefully we will both be back up to speed soon

If you have any mobility, thank the good Lord. Several years ago, I was in an accident and broke both hips and was bedridden for 6 weeks. Could not get up, AT ALL. Doc told me that if I did not listen to him, I would be getting hip replacements in a few years. Read everything I could get my hands on. Read the labels on the mattress, pillows, you get the idea. Anyway, went for my last visit to Doc and he released me and told the wife to take me to Walmart, I needed FREEDOM. That lasted 10 minutes when I got so weak that I could hardly stand. There are lots of things to do when you're laid up. It's just that we don't want to do them at that time. Best of luck in the recovery. Oh yeah, don't tick off the care giver as it can go from bad to intolerable. Don't ask how I know this. LOL

That's tough David. Just be patient and browse the gun forums. BTW, any new info on your trespasser problem?

Depression can be real. Ten years ago if you told me that a man could be depressed because of sickness are injury I would called you a nut. Last year I had severe back pain that lasted until my little wife found me a new doctor. He got the pain under control. My sweet little grand daughter told me the other day she was sad last year to see me lie on the sofa and cry.....................................................Depression is real and needs to be addressed. Thanks for a very good God and wife and little grand daughter. Just my thoughts.
